Aashiqui 2 comes with a lot of expectations. This is so because it is a sequel to superhit movie Aashiqui. But let’s be very clear here, Aashiqui 2 is not a sequel of Aashiqui, the only thing common between the two films is just the title! Instead of reminding us about the old Aashiqui, which made both Rahul Roy and Anu Agarwal instant stars, Aashiqui 2 reminds us more of Amitabh-Jaya starer Abhimaan. But alas, neither the movie has such powerful story as Abhimaan nor the energy packed performances.

Film Story

Rahul Jaykar (Aditya Roy Kapur) is a singing sensation. He falls in love with the lovely voice of Aarohi (Shraddha Kapoor). Aarohi, who sings at small joints, also wants to make an identity in the music industry. Rahul decides to help Aarohi to fulfil her dream. He builds up her self confidence and even arranges for her audition with the music baron. Later (as expected), they both fall in love with each other. But their life turns upside down when Aarohi becomes a big star while Rahul’s career starts to diminish. To save her love and fragile relationship, Aarohi decides to give up her career as she believes – Love Makes Life Live!!

Performances

Well, one very good thing about the film is Aditya Roy Kapur’s performance. Not only he is good looking but is also a good actor. He has proved this already in his past films like Action Replayy Guzaarish, and London Dreams. But Shraddha Kapoor disappointed us. No doubt, she seems very pretty in the film but the actress surely needs to work on her acting skills. Though director Mohit Suri has tried to make it a good, neat and clean movie, the film’s poor writing has ruined his hard perform. There is nothing new that Aashiqui 2 can offer to its audienc.

Music

Music is absolutely the highlight of Aashiqui 2. ‘Tum hi ho’ song, which is already a hit on YouTube, is very melodious and other songs like ‘Bhula Dena’, ‘Sunn Raha Hai’ are also really good to hear. The credit goes to Mithoon, Jeet Ganguly and Ankit Tiwari for composing such soulful tunes.

Hollywood has emerged an increasingly important component of the Indian theatrical box office in the past few years. In the last year itself, key Hollywood releases have reached out to as many as 1000 screens and are also getting marketed more and more strongly.

With characters culled from Marvel Comics, that “Iron Man 3″ would be packed with amazing action and awesome razor sharp, witty lines. When, the movie starts with a voice-over which states – “A popular man once said, we make our own demons. Never mind who the famous man is.” – we are all the more confident about the same.

The voice-over at the very onset sets the tenor of the flick.

The 1st scene brings in a New Year’s party in Bern, Switzerland, heralding the new millennium where a businessman-cum-genius inventor-cum mechanic Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) is partying hard. The audience waits with baited breath to understand how he makes his own demons.

Shane Black’s Iron Man 3 is the Superhero’s journey of finding the demons he created and destroying them.

Flash forward to the present day, following the attacks on New York where a new enemy, Mandarin (Ben Kingsley), is threatening to bring down the US govt. Tony is mentally fatigued. He is worn out with confidence and anxiety troubles. This reasons a strain on his relationship with Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow).

He is incapable to sleep and so he spends his all time developing a super cloak – The metallic shield that can protect him.

Created through advance mechanics, it assembles itself around him and works on mental remote. Thus making him the formidable – Iron Man.

A very good looking bio-tech researcher and geneticist Aldrich Killian (Guy Pearce), who has a grouse against Tony, teams up with Mandarin. So it is super-villains versus Iron Man.

The supernatural romantic film of the year “Ek Thi Daayan” starring Emraan Hashmi, Huma Qureshi, Konkona Sen Sharma and Kalki Koechlin in the lead role hits the box office to horrify the audiences with some electrifying horror sequences in the tale.

Directed by Kannan Iyer, Ek Thi Daayan is a story of popular magician from India Bobo (Emraan Hashmi), who suffers continuous hallucinations and finally had to go for a psychiatric help. Even his girlfriend Tamara does not know these things.

As the story proceeds Bobo comes to know about a scary story in course of his hypnosis which has a sinister energy named Daayan who had damaged his complete family members and had promised to return back to haunt Bobo.

Though, Bobo first ignored the thing and moved on but his life takes a twist with the entry of amazing Lisa Dutt in his life..

Bobo gets convinced that Lisa Dutt is the daayan. But, whether she is the actual Daayan or its just an illusion of Bobo?s mind. Watch out Ek thi Daayan for a stirring jolt to end the excitement of the existence of the Daayan.

Remaking a movie which is still well personalized in the viewer’s thoughts is always a risky thing. The film directed by “King of Comedy” David Dhawan, that ruled the roost in the 1990s, takes on Paranjpye’s cult classic, changes a vowel- the new is called ‘Chashme Baddoor’- and presents the story in a contemporary way.

David Dhawan, a experienced filmmaker, also steers clear of big titles and takes relative newcomers to form his lead cast. With Ali Zafar, Siddharth, Divyendu Sharma and Taapsee Pannu, ‘Chashme Baddoor’ gets a new attraction.

So will the new one be ready to match up to big expectations of the audience? Will it have the same kind of innocent humor that Paranjpye’s movie had?.

So this time Sajid khan brings the eighties version film, which is the remake of a homonymous film made by K Raghavendra Rao in 1983 which is starring by Jeetendra and Sridevi. However this time Sajid Khan put some new twist to his old story to make it contemporary. In “Himmatwala” Ajay Devgn and new comer Tamannaah Bhatia are in lead role while Paresh Rawal and Adhyayan Suman will also be seen in pivotal roles.

Ajay plays role of Ravi, a son of school teacher in the movie Himmatwala, who fights to bring back the lost glory of his father in his village, while Tammannah play role of Rekha, who falls in love with Ravi. Rekha is the daughter of Mahesh Manjrekar (the villain in the movie), who is playing the character of Sher Singh.

The music of the movie is although not very much promising but the new version of the early hits ‘Taki Taki’ and ‘Naino Mein Sapna’ from the original film are still listeners choice and have gained much popularity. Moreover, the song ‘Thank God It’s Friday’, featuring Sonakshi Sinha in the voice of emphasizing Sunidhi Chauhan is a real treat for the viewers with the real essence of 80′s hits.

Sajid appears confident but only the audience will decide the fate of the film.

The story of the film showcases a parents’ love towards their little girl and their fight to claim her.

Bipasha Basu’s howling is the only thing that tears the curtains of our ear drums and Nawaz’s character warns us of the many dangers of having an evil husband. Doyel Dhawan (Nia), who plays Nawaz and Bipasha’s child in the movie, is a tad unconvincing. The worry, the excitement, the joy of connecting with your dead father – it’s missing.

While Maya (Bipasha Basu) claims her daughter is in her living world, father Abhay (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) wants to take her to his unreal world.

Until he takes his kid with him, he pampers her a lot. And never hesitate to offer a fearful death to all those who tease and trouble her. But will Maya be ready to stop Abhay from taking Nia to his dead world. That’s how the story deals further.

But the biggest disappointment here is the script that needed a little more attention, particularly at the end. All those thrilling moments that  added to the build-up were killed with the bad climax.

The director presents Abhay as a short tempered brutal husband who loves his daughter more than anything in this world, living or dead.

We get to witness him after 20 minutes from the begin of the film. His voice-over however makes his presence felt during those moments.

Bipasha Basu as a frightening mother is decent. Looks like the lady loves to work in horror genre movies as she was past seen in Raaz 3D, where her performance was much better than this thriller.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui is amazing as usual. Though more of the attention is given to Bipasha Basu, he steals the show with his deadly performance.

The concept is excellent – a small girl stuck between a dead dad who claims to love her and a living mother who genuinely wants her betterment. The asphalt was laid out, unfortunately instead of smoothening it, Verma ends up making only gravel.

The two characters Aditya Pratap Singh- Saheb (Jimmi Shergill) and Madhvi-Biwi (Mahie Gill) are replicated. Adi is paralyzed by legs but still is an arrogant king while Madhvi is once again the sultry seductress who now looking for a ‘Poet’ in a man.

Enter Inderjit Singh (Irrfan) who has an age-old rivalry with Saheb as his ancestors were destroyed by Saheb’s family from the roots and he will do the same. Madhvi is still in search of love and lust and she discovers that space in Inder’s arms.

But here is a small change, Inder loves Ranjana (Soha Ali Khan). And Saheb has an eye on Ranjana and wants to get married to her (Despite of being married to Madhvi). Ranjana’s dad (Raj Babbar) hates this and wants Saheb to be killed. So he invites Irrfan who finds the other reason to kill Saheb.

Saheb excels one more time in this one. His screen presence and charisma is fantastic and he never lets you move your eyes away from him. Irrfan Khan again is brilliant in his part. His part keeps you engrossed so much that you forget the ‘Gangster’ played by Randeep Hooda in the first part.

No comments on Soha Ali Khan’s acting skills, She is just okay in the film. But it’s Mahie Gill who is the actual ‘Heroine’ in the movie’ who also walks away with the cake. She is just just Fantastic and makes you believe that she is the actual ‘Scene-Stealer’ of the film

Saheb, Biwi aur

Gangster ends with Madhvi (Mahie Gill) – the Biwi – killing Babloo – the Gangster (Randeep Hooda). Aditya Pratap Singh (Jimmy Shergill as Saheb), meanwhile, is paralysed waist down from a gunshot. Madhvi takes over the politics of the area and seals sympathy votes in her favour, and consequently is selected the MLA from her territory.

Tigmanshu Dhulia admitted that the film has the perfect amount of sensuality, which he feels is important to the story. “There is sensuality, but in little measure. I feel that it is effective only like that. It (film) should have the right amount of sex and passion,” Director said.

John Abraham, who began his acting career with films like ‘Jism’ and ‘Paap’, is set to come back to yet again in a big and impressive way. After making his foray into production with acclaimed film ‘Vicky Donor’, the actor is definitely taking Bollywood very seriously now. He has yet again donned the hat of a romantic chap in his movie ‘I, Me Aur Main’.

The film starts off with a young man Ishaan (John Abraham) who is a simpleton, and falls in love with two girls.

He’s spoilt no end by his mother (Zarina Wahab). His elder sister (and more smart of the two), Shivani (Mini Mathur) silently disapproves of possibly preferential treatment meted out to him ever since they were kids and is generally dismayed by his refusal to grow up.

An executive who scouts for new talent for a music company, Ishan lives with his girlfriend Anushka (Chitrangada Singh [ Images ]) in her plush apartment where she does all the chores, pays all the bills – when the milkman arrives at their doorstep one morning with the monthly bill, Ishan refuses to pay because he ‘doesn’t even drink milk, even his morning coffee is black’ – and routinely cleans up after him.

If that’s not enough, Ishan, acutely aware of his good looks and the effect he has on women, is an incorrigible flirt.

Anushka, an extremely attractive, successful and independent career woman, puts up with all this and even hopes to marry the guy some day because, as she wistfully sighs to her friend, she loves him.

Soon after, though, she realises that things aren’t going to change and unceremoniously dumps Ishan.

Ishan, largely unfazed by this setback in his love-life, moves into a more modest flat where he meets his new neighbour Gauri (Prachi Desai)

As seems inevitable at this point, they fall in love and quite inexplicably, Ishan is a changed man.

I Me Aur Main’s runtime of 108 minutes is probably the best thing about the movie. But then, there’s also three gorgeous people wearing the best of clothes, Mini Mathur in a wonderful and fairly impressive turn, and Zarina Wahab as the overindulgent, criminally naive but lovable mother.The plot, though, leaves a lot to be desired. While the first half of the film establishes the premise effectively and at a brisk pace, the second half meanders.

The story loses its sense of direction – surely not all women are naive in their dealings with a man-child – and rushes to the end because all stories must have a crowd-pleasing ending in the appropriated run-time.

Prachi Desai as Gauri tries a little too hard to be that bubbly girl-next-door who has all the answers. She dresses the part, mildly gesticulates like any hip urban girl and laughs a little too much.

Another thing that strikes as rather odd is the dynamics of the relationship between her and Ishan.

After the success of Dil Chahta Hai and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara it is turn of Kai Po Che. Though the language can prove a bar in its success but it will do great business on Multiplexes.

Kai Po Che is the story of three male friends who are exploring their lives though perspective of each one is different from other. Star of the movie is Ishaan Bhatt (Sushant Singh Rajput), Omi Shastri (Amit Sadh) and Govind (Raj Kumar).

All of these are together right from their Childhood. Movie is with a fresh feel.

It is able to show you something out of the box from the regular cinema other than two peace skin show and the item numbers. It is one of the finest examples of experimental but settled cinema. Responses of the viewers are also very good.

It is doing good ticket counter. Even critics gave it five stars rating in pre cinema show. Another unique thing about this movie is that it got Censor certificate without any cut not even a single. It’s a great achievement in these times.

It’s a story of a tenant and his neighbor. Here neighbor is Vivek Oberoi who is a gangster. The tenant is Neha Sharma. She loses her job and the accommodation after 2G spectrum hit her company and she becomes job less.

Somehow she managed to get a room on rent but she was not aware at that time that where she is entering. Neha Sharma in movie played a role of very high ambitious girl and she is here to prove herself.

The neighbor Jayanta bhai falls in love at first sight with her. But for Neha it was never so easy to accept her as lover. It’s story about Neha and her dreams and how Jyanti Bhai makes her to love him. It can be watched once. Though Vivek Oberoi did fantastic work on the acting side. Neha Sharma is pretty but nothing more of that.
