Virbhadra Singh’s resigns over graft charges
Resignation of union ministerVirbhadra Singh from the Cabinet on Tuesday has left his supporters shocked while his detractors are in celebration mode. After court verdict on Monday, it was expected that Virbhadra would tender his resignation today.
Virbhadra’s supporters on Monday had issued a statement showing solidarity with him after the court verdict and had claimed that charges framed against the union minister were concocted. After the resignation, there is now debate on whether Virbhadra Singh would lead the party in the coming assembly election due this year.
