The content on the new paid channel subscriptions will be in addition to the millions videos viewers watch for free on YouTube but It’s not clear whether the paid videos will come with advertising yet.

According to the reports earlier that viewers would be charged as little as $1.99 a month for subscriptions of paid channels.

YouTube said it is looking into creating a “subscription platform” that provides its partners with a way to generate revenue beyond video rentals and placing ads in and around the content. It said, however, that it had “nothing to announce at this time.”

The executives indicated at the coming pay channels at a preview event in March ahead of a meeting in New York with advertisers.

This new Web browser engine, dubbed ‘Servo’, will take the benefits of the ARM architecture

Mozilla’s Chief Technical Officer, Brendan Eichneed mentioned that both the companies feel the need “to be ready to take advantage of tomorrow’s faster, multi-core, heterogeneous computing architectures. That’s why we’ve recently started working together with Samsung on an advanced technology Web browser engine called Servo.”

Samsung and Mozilla will be building the Servo from the ground up and this web browser will be written in Rust. Rust is Mozilla’s new programming language. This language in itself is in early stages of development. Its version 0.6 was also released on Wednesday.

Samsung and Mozilla aim to create a web browser that addresses the causes of security weaknesses and offers new and better experiences on the Web. As of now, Samsung and Mozilla have not spilt the beans regarding when this browser will see the light of the day.

The world’s most popular video-sharing web-site would close at the end of the day to review all the video submissions it has received over the years. The winner will be announced in 2023, when the site finally comes back online.

“We are so close to the end. Tonight at midnight, youtube will no longer be accepting entries. After eight amazing years, it is finally time to review everything that has been uploaded to our site and start the process of selecting a winner,” said Tim Liston, named as competition director.

YouTube Chief executive officer Salar Kamangar said that “we started YouTube in 2005 as a contest with a simple goal: to find the best video in the world.”

Users have uploaded over 70 hours every minute to the site, YouTube estimated.

That April Fools’ Day is a big part of Google and YouTube’s culture and tradition. For example, YouTube did a throwback in 2011 to fake viral videos from 100 years ago and last year, the website said you could order all clips on DVD. In 2008, every video led to a Rick Roll.

YouTube has gradually included professional content, such as full-length TV shows and movies to its big trove of amateur video offerings in a bid to attract advertisers.
