“For the perfect honeymoon, you need the perfect destination. So whether it is pristine beaches, unexplored lands or simply a budget holiday, you still want it to be special.

Asian sensation
“The current favourite, for first-time international travelers, is the far East option, with Singapore and Malaysia – - especially locations such as Langkawi.

Langkawi is among the most popular destinations for ‘honeymooning’ Indian couples, agrees Manoharan Periasamy, director, Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board. Also, a honeymoon in Hong Kong can be a lifetime experience for newly-married couples. Hong Kong, with its numerous sightseeing options, chic shopping destinations and other places of interest will ensure the couple has a great honeymoon.

Incredible India
Within India, it remains Kerala and Himachal remain the popular options. Also, couples dreaming of a perfect getaway to de-stress after their wedding, could opt for various spa holidays. Goa, with its stunning sea-views and glorious sunsets, is the ideal destination for a spa holiday to enrich the mind and body, soothe the senses and leave one radiant.

Europe tour
“As far as options go, Europe is on top of the list – unless budgets are a concern. Whether the honeymooning couples takes a trip alone or are part of a larger group of Indian travelers, Europe has something that suits almost all honeymooning couples.

Coming up
Honeymoon destinations that have been largely ignored are Australia and New Zealand. From champagne breakfasts after a hot-air balloon flight to watching the Penguin Parade, Australia offers everything. And New Zealand offers some of nature’s wonders.

Whether the honeymoon is five days, a week or more, this time together is much needed. So whether you plan an exotic or adventurous location or a relaxing beach vacation, honeymoon trips should have the best destination options.

Well ask anyone in India that what should is the perfect place for the Honeymoon than you will get only one answer that Shimla and only Shimla. Yes whether its summer or chilling winters, it is one of the much appreciated and visited place by Indians and foreigners for the Honeymoon.

Surrounded by the Himalaya Mountains, Shimla used to be the summer capital of the British Raj when they ruled India. Now it’s the state capital of Himachal Pradesh. This wonderfully cool and charming town sprawls along a mountain ridge, enveloped in oak, pine and rhododendron forests.

It’s quite famous for its colonial Tudor and Neo-Gothic style buildings, and historic railway. The Kalka-Shimla train is a picture of romance as it slowly winds its way through the misty mountains and thick pine forests. If possible, try and book one of the special Shivalik Queen compartments for honeymooners.

The fresh, crisp air is so invigorating and enlivening, while the scenery will transport you to a world far away from urban tensions, where romance comes naturally.

The Oberoi’s luxurious and award winning Wildflower Hall hotel is the perfect place for an India honeymoon. Its location, a 45 minute picturesque drive from Shimla, is serenely isolated and affords spectacular views over the cedar forests and snow capped peaks. The hotel was once the residence of Lord Kitchener during the reign of the Raj, and a great deal of effort has been put into restoring it. The hotel’s luxury spa is a particular delight for honeymoon couples, with its private suite and of course views. So if you are looking for Honeymoon than just look for the Shimla.

World’s Ten unusual honeymoon hot spots hots are here, We are not talking about those usual honeymoons like Shimla, Switzerland and so on it has to be special and unique.

We are telling one of the most out of straight jacket and cool one. From the windswept beaches of a car-free island in the Baltic to tasting wine rarely sipped outside Argentina, these hideaways rarely appear on the usual post-wedding itinerary:

Sleep on a lakeside farm in Shelburne, Vermont

This hamlet boasts a 1400-acre working farm with an inn on the banks of Lake Champlain. Beyond, taste award-winning wine at the town’s namesake Shelburne Vineyards, known for its crisp northern varietals, and enjoy locavore-friendly (locally-sourced) food at elegant restaurants where farm-to-table cuisine reigns and tastes supreme.

Enjoy a private beach on remote Pamalican Island, Philippines

At 5.5 km long, roughly 500 metres at its widest and only one five-star resort on the island, you’re guaranteed seclusion. Oh, and dive in to see vibrant colours – Pamalican is set smack in the centre of a 7 sq km coral reef.

Snuggle in a beach basket built for two on Hiddensee Island, Germany

It’s unique and you know it: a pristine Baltic island with no motorised transport where horse-and-wagon rides or tooling around on bikes are the only ways around. Amble across dunes and long stretches of sand, or tuck yourselves into a Strandkorb (beach basket), a wicker half-shell chair for two that shelters you from the wind as you watch the waves.

Taste wine amid copper-coloured canyons in Cafayate, Argentina

Filled with estancias (sumptuous ranch lodging) and vineyards where you can taste rarely-shipped-abroad varietals like Torrontes, this handsome desert town begs you to wander hand-in-hand, past dusty buildings and candle-lit cafes spilling onto sidewalks.

Enjoy the simple pleasures on Ambergris Caye, Belize

Surrounded by tropical beaches and covered with verdant mangrove swamps in the centre, this island is home to the world’s second-largest barrier reef after Australia’s. Snorkelling, diving and sunset cruises on catamarans are the norm here, but we’re drawn to the balmy nights in basic thatched roof beach huts and napping in two-person hammocks.

Smooching in Bettmeralp, Switzerland. It starts with a cable-car ride, launching you into a car-free Alpine village. We’re not sure what we love more: views of the Aletsch glacier and mountains (including the Matterhorn), strolling between chalets or indulging in fondue. Oh, and Swiss tradition says if you lose your bread in the cheese, you must kiss your dining neighbour – so let that bread disappear.

Embark on a sunset ride in Khan Khentii, Mongolia

Peppered with rolling hills of birch forests and grasslands threaded with rivers, Khan Khentii is a protected wilderness area three times the size of Yellowstone National Park. Go horseback-riding at sunset across the steppe, and try yak cart rafting together before disappearing into plush yurt lodgings.

Cruise Alaska’s coast on an intimate small ship

Only small vessels can drop anchor at the quiet fjords, tranquil bays and inlets along Alaska’s inside passage. From your cabin, peer at bobbing icebergs, imposing glaciers and misty veils of clouds suspended above snow-capped mountain peaks. Or venture out for a walk on a remote beach or in a two-person kayak to float in enchanting coves and glimpse wildlife like otters and seals.

Take a vintage train journey in Namibia

From the all-aboard whistle to the smart retro furnishings on the 1950s-esque Desert Express, this train feels like you’ve stepped on a classic film set. Recline in antique leather armchairs and clink glasses in the Spitzkoppe lounge to the sultry sway of the coach.

Unwind on a gorilla safari in Bwindi Forest National Park, Uganda

On guided walks to observe these gentle giants you’ll encounter jagged valleys, dramatic mountain scenery and monkeys. In the evenings, stargaze around campfires and retire in tents built into the jungle canopy while peering into the mist-shrouded rainforest from bed.

A trip to Ladakh, India’s cold desert is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. With its spectacular natural beauty, the place is a visual treat for both your eyes and your digital cameras.

Nestled at an altitude of 3,500 meters above the sea level, between the Kunlun Mountain Range in the north and the main Great Himalayas to the south, is a small, yet bustling town of Leh.

Being the largest city of Ladakh, Leh enjoys the maximum tourism. It not links one of the sleepy hamlets and valleys of the district, but is also one of the few remaining Buddhist destinations in South Asia.

Must see
The Leh Palace, which is located behind the main market has eight stories and is similar the Potala Palace of Lhasa and still belongs to the royal family of Ladakh. Just ahead of the palace is the famous Chamba Temple, which is a oneroomed shrine that has a huge icon of Maitreya, the Buddha to come. Since this temple cannot be found easily, it is essential to enquire about it in the second row of shops.

Also in the bazaar, at the top of the street, one can see the Jama Masjid. This has been painted in green and white-colour. Another place that you must check out is the Sankar Gompa, which is located within the city and is one of the oldest structures here. At one time, this monastery only welcomes maximum twenty monks and is a fairly active one. Also the monks here are extremely hospitable and always offer yak butter tea to those visiting the monastery.

Also a visit to the famous Thikse Monastery is a must. This monastery is the largest such structure in central Ladakh and is primarily known for its magnanimous statue of Maitreya (future Buddha) in its Maitreya Temple.

Must do
On Old Leh Road exists the Tibetan Refugee Market which is an ideal place for shopping in Leh. Tibetan markets are well-known for their metal-ware. The visitors here who have an eye for artistic pieces would find sonorous bowls made of nine metals like cymbals, decorative brass and copper trumpets. Besides, cymbals that have religious themes that are used in meditation are also found here.

Must know
The most affordable way to travel within the region is by the state buses, which ply on fixed routes according to fixed time schedules. The most comfortable and convenient though expensive mode of travel, however, is taxi, which is available for hire on fixed point-to-point tariff basis.

How to reach

By road
The overland approach to Ladakh from Kashmir Valley via Kargil is approximately 434 kms, which remains open for traffic from early June to November. The most dramatic part of this road journey is the ascent up the 11,500 feet 3,505 m high Zoji-La, the pass in the Great Himalayan Wall that serves as the gateway to Ladakh.

By air
Ladakh is well connected by air with New Delhi, Jammu and Srinagar.

Passengers embarking on the epic 12-day journey are likely to be charged 130 pounds for a ticket, the Daily Mirror reports. The service is definitely a good news for the people of Birmingham, which is home to the world’s largest population of Kashmiri expats.

According to the report, security concerns have, however, been raised about the route, which will stop over at Quetta, Pakistan. This will be one of the longest journeys done by bus in the whole world. It will boost the tourism sector in Kashmir and through it will get a lots of cultural exchange and it will become very helpful for trade and commerce.

Even you are sick from those camp nights who claims to be night safari but that too ends up in eating and dancing around the fire. Than what kind of travel you are missing in your life think over it. You need a travel in which you actually feel that you are in a jungle and if you want to have that feeling than why to go in those artificial made camps go straight away to the jungle where you can see tigers by just some feet’s away and there the camp will give you a perfect attire of jungle life as you are in jungle. In India we do have a lot of options for this kind of travelling and most coolest place is Jim Corbett National Park, Uttarakhand.

This place has its very ow special reputation on Indian map because the place still have so many animals to see which are getting lost day by day. Such as tiger, here if you are lucky than you can definitely see a tiger and to see a tiger from close is a life time experience. It is India’s first and oldest national park, the Corbett National Park is like heaven for adventure seekers and wildlife junkies. Though the chances of actually spotting a tiger inside this park are rare, you may see one that is not baited or tracked! It is one of the few parks in northern India with wild elephants. The jeep safari inside the park is worth a try.

The name city of joy is perfect for the place as the people over here are really very happy and always there to help you . Other than this the main attraction of the city is its art and design that still have British time look. If you want to enjoy that era than you should go and visit Kolkata.

The friendly people are equally passionate about football (soccer) as much as they enjoy cricket and sweets. The city still has some of the best street-side eateries. The locals have their own favorites for biriyani and kathi rolls — Nizam and Arselan, to name a few.

Walking down the narrow alleys of College Street you can stop a whole and you can easily get attracted by the competitive prices on reference books. The bookstalls lining the pavement sell everything from Chaucer to Shakespeare and Astrophysics. Weary from walking, One could not resist the temptation to sip coffee at Coffee House. It is the best place to feel the pulse of the city. People get together for informal gatherings and the discussion ranges from politics or poetry.

Hand-pulled rickshaws are common in this part of town. They were brought to the city by Chinese businessmen for ferrying goods. Although they were banned a few years ago, the government has failed to implement the ban stringently as many rickshaw-pullers depend on it for their livelihood.

Park Street was the hub of prolific night life in the 1970s and 1980s. The restaurants served great continental food back then — or possibly my taste buds have changed. The live band was a major attraction in restaurants like Trinca’s and Moulin Rouge. The place now lacks the lustre of the past but it remains one of my favorite places.

Victoria Memorial is the most prominent testament of the British era. Surrounded by greenery, the monument’s Indo—Saracenic architecture is a major tourist attraction. To soak up the Victorian-era nostalgia, ride a horse carriage. So be here to refresh all what was here in all of India.

Though Monsoon has the magic to change the entire scene of any city but here the blessings of Monsoon are much greater than any other city.

The monsoon is slowly building to a peak, and this is the time to explore the magnificent Dudhsagar Falls on the Goa-Karnataka border. Three railfanners took, quite literally, the railroad less travelled to explore this route. For those unfamiliar with railfanners, they are to trains and railways what birdwatchers are to birds. They are enchanted with the minutest details of the railway — from locomotives, stations and carriages to rakes, signals, cabooses… you name it. Over three days, these intrepid enthusiasts planned a unique “trek” to Dudhsagar Falls in the Western Ghats. They met at Hubli, Karnataka and boarded the Haripriya Express to Londa, and then hailed an auto-rickshaw to Castle Rock. From there they trekked along the jungle-fringed track, lashed by monsoon downpours, to Caranzol. The weather being unkind, the station master advised them to head back to Castle Rock or Londa for the night. On the second day, they went to Dudhsagar and spent the day at the falls, indulging their passion for trainspotting. They returned home the next day.
