Chhattisgarh News: Lockdown in the state further extends from July 28 to August 6 due to the increasing COVID-19 Positive cases daily in many parts of the state. Also, there is a restriction for freely stepping out from home during Bakrid on August 1 and chhattisgarh closed on raksha bandhan on August 3.
This Year people in Chhattisgarh won’t be celebrating these festivals with their family and Relatives as the chances of getting Infected from coronavirus is high during this period.
The government took this decision after the meeting held at CM residence office on Monday where CM Bhupesh baghel and other cabinet ministers were present to discuss various issues.
Agriculture Minister Ravindra Choubey further added that the district collectors have the right to modify the rules based on the condition in their city. They can also increase or decrease the dates of the Lockdown in their town.
District collectors need to take the appropriate actions for ensuring sufficient numbers of beds in the hospitals, especially in Raipur, where there the cases have been increasing since last few days.
Daily the number of people getting infected from the coronavirus is more than the ones recovering from this disease. So keeping social distancing along with proper safety measures is important to overcome this disease.
As per the current extension of Lockdown, many businesses which rely on these festivals will be affected on a large scale as now people will not come out of their houses to celebrate with their Friends and Relatives.
Many business owners in different cities where the cases are under control have requested the collector to open the Lockdown. Otherwise, they have to suffer from huge losses.
Now the collector in many cities has given permission to shop owner to run their businesses for a fixed duration of time. Currently, the lockdown was till 28 July but due to increasing cases its now extended, it is estimated that the government will further extend the lockdown till the end of August month.
