CM Bhupesh Baghel laid the foundation of the “Godhan Nyaya Yojana” and cow dung buying scheme, on this occasion of Hareli, he wishes the people of Chhattisgarh, and he hoped that our state would soon emerge from this crisis of Corona. In this era of the epidemic, where the entire country is going through the unemployment crisis, the C.G government launched the cow dung buying scheme to promote employment.
During the launch CM Baghel was present with his wife, he said that the ministers and officials would have to make sure about the successful implementation of the scheme all over the state. He also mentioned that this scheme would help the poor cow caretakers, cattle herders and village women.
Cow dung scheme by Chhattisgarh Government
Chhattisgarh government has decided that to overcome the problem of unemployment and to promote women empowerment, he launched the cow dung scheme. According to the program the state government will buy cow dung from the farmers and the village women at the cost of 2 Rs/kg.
Sellers can sell the cow dung at the Gothans; initially, more than two thousand Gothans (Godhan Nyaya Yojana Center) has been structures all over the state. Soon the rest of the Gotham’s will be completed by the end of this year. Due to this scheme, farmers and cattle bearer will be able to sell dung directly to the government, there will be no need of middleman in this scheme, and the entire profit will be given to the dung seller.
From this scheme, Chhattisgarh will be the first state in the country to provide direct employment to people by purchasing cow dung. In addition to this scheme, if the seller provides prepared vermicompost, then the government will buy it for 8/ kg. By this scheme, women in the village can also form a community among themselves to prepare the vermicompost and can earn a profit from the government.
In this way, it will produce employment and will encourage to earn the livelihood.
What will the government do from the cow dung?
From the cow dung buying scheme the government will use to make it for composition, for making fertilizer, biogas, agriculture purpose and many more. Right now the collection of cow dungs are already started in over 300 Gothans.
The opposition mocks the congress government of Chhattisgarh
After this Cow dung scheme, the Opposition party of Chhattisgarh i.e. BJP said that the Congress government failed to lower the unemployment and that is why they are forcing the unemployed to sell cow dung. BJP leader Ajay Chandrarkar told that it is shameful that the CM is now pushing the well-educated young ones to sell cow dung, their qualification is of no use, and this is how the Congress party wants to flourish the state.
But on the other side, the RSS (Rashtriya Swayam Sevak) has appreciated this initiative and has congratulated the Chhattisgarh Government for this scheme and has described it as an essential initiative of cow service.
